Preparation

Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS) can be obtained by neutralizing linear alkylbenzen sulfonic acid with caustic soda.

Application

LAS is an anionic surfactant used primarily in household lanudry and dishwishing cleaning products; LAS is also used in some industrial applications
